Maurice Paulin – Wikipedia

Maurice Ferdinand Paul Paulin , born the September 14, 1900 in Paris 5 ^{It is} and dead the February 25, 1986 In Boulogne-Billancourt, is an illustrator, a French designer and a painter, mainly known for having illustrated the series of spy novels for youth: Langelot .

Pupil at the National School of Fine Arts, he produced in the sixties in the sixties of the Fatre France which served as advertisements ^{[ first ] , [ 2 ]} . Some of its watercolors are visible on the website devoted to the FRAPS FRAPEBOT exhibition at the National Museum of the Marine in Paris in 2011 ^{[ 3 ]} .

Maurice Paulin has also greatly practiced fashion drawing before the Second World War and made some incursions in advertising and publishing.
He notably designed advertisements for the Lingerie Valisère brand ^{[ 4 ]} (several of his drawings are visible on the internet) ^{[ 5 ]} .

In 1964, he turned to the illustration of novels for youth for Hachette editions: series Langelot of Lieutenant X, The Six Companions of Paul-Jacques Bonzon, The Happy Jolivet by Jerry West, but also for Nathan editions.
