Merwan Chabane , born in 1978, is a director of animated films, designer and French comic book scriptwriter.

Merwan Chabane graduated from the National School of Decorative Arts. After a visit to the Gobelins school, he began his career in the video game world, but also by making storyboard for different series of entertainment.

In 2002, he wrote and directed his end -of -studies film, Biotope , animated short film. Supported by the CNC and Arte, this experience continues with the production of another animated short film, Evening clichés Selected for the 2009 gold cartoon price [ first ] .

In 2007, he was contacted to collaborate in the feature film of Lascars as a story-boarder [Contested relevance] . In 2009, he published comics False guard Au Éditions Vents d’Ouest, the reworked version of its first comic strip Scent .

Then he also published in 12 bis the first volume of the adventure saga Gold and blood that he draws on a staging by Fabien Bedouel, co -written by Maurin Defrance and Fabien Nury. He then begins the creation of albums, alone or in collaboration, as with Bastien Vivès for the series For the empire Colorized by Sandra Desmazières. Since 2011, Merwan Chabane has been comic strip to students of additional non -diploma training (formerly FCIL) at the technological high school of Applied Arts Auguste Renoir in Paris. He was also welcomed in 2013 in residence in the Aulnay-sous-Bois libraries as part of the writers program in Seine-Saint-Denis, initiated by the department with the cities of Seine-Saint-Denis [ 13 ] .
