Michel Lamy did his secondary studies at the Lyc\u00e9e d’Angoul\u00eame, then his higher education at the Faculty of Sciences in Bordeaux where he is successively, instructor, assistant, assistant, lecturer then teacher of universities. He taught biology and ecology at the University of Bordeaux I from 1960 to 2000, and was also the vice-president from 1987 to 1995 [ first ] . Retired since October 2000 In Saint-Georges-de-Didonne (Charente-Maritime) and honorary professor of universities, he devoted himself to popularization and the drafting of autobiographical works. He is the author of twenty books for students, teachers and the general public, of which The big book of the living (Fayard 2001) which received the 2002 Royan-Atlantic Prize and Cat photosynthesis or ecology explained to my daughter (Le Pommier, 2004) for which he received the Prize for the Editions of Nature of the Queyras Natural Park, 2004. In Science passers (Blood of the Earth, 2009) He retraces his activity as a popularizer and his meetings with other scientists: Hubert Reeves, Albert Jacquard, Axel Kahn, Boris Cyrulnik, Michel Serres ,, etc.  They created political ecology (Blood of the Earth, 2014), is devoted to the ecological governance of France from 1971 to the present day and to the evolution of the French ecological movement during the same period.
