The Montrouge cemetery , 14, avenue de la Porte-de-Montrouge, Petit-Montrouge district in the 14 It is Paris arrondissement was created in 1819 on the territory of the commune of Montrouge and is devolved to its use, but it is geographically located in the south of 14 It is Paris arrondissement since the annexation of the old military zone, in 1925 [ first ] .

Opened in 1821, the Montrouge cemetery was the only Parisian cemetery to have a crypt, attributed to Henri Decaux, architect of the Belfry de Montrouge, decorated with bas-reliefs of Louis Sajous and Marcel Renard; It can be visited.

It is delimited to the northwest by the avenue de la Porte-de-Châtillon, to the northeast by avenue Ernest-Reyer, to the southeast by the avenue de la Porte-de-Montrouge-which separates it from the Square du Oath-de-Koufra-and to the southwest by the trench of the peripheral boulevard opened below the cemetery.

While the most visited tomb is that of Coluche, there are a large number of tombs worthy of interest [ 2 ] , as well as a crypt and a commemorative stele in granite “pink of clarity” erected in 2014 in memory of 96 fighters who fell on the field of honor during the Great War whose names are engraved in golden letters. The names of other Montrougians victims of this conflict, not buried in Montrouge, are on a plate in the hall of the town hall [ 3 ] .
