Its speed compared to the cosmological diffuse background is to 3 413 \u00b1 16  km\/s [ 4 ] , which corresponds to a hubble distance of 50.4 \u00b1 3.5 Mpc (\u223c164 Millions d’A.L. ) [ c ] . NGC 5820 was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel in 1788.
