Olha Kharlan — Wikipedia

Olha Kharlan (in Ukrainian: Olga Harlan , Olha Hennadi XVNA Kharlan , born September 4, 1990 in Mykolaïv) is a Ukrainian fencer practicing saber.

Olha Kharlan joined the Ukraine national team at the age of 14. In 2005, she won her first international medal with a team bronze medal at the European Championships in Zalaegerszeg. In 2007, she became world junior champion: she will renew this feat three other times before reaching 20 years in 2010.

For his first participation in the Olympic Games in 2008 in Beijing, Kharlan won the team title. During the 2012 edition in London, she got on third place in the individual podium as in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro where she also won the silver medal by teams. For her individual bronze medal in Rio 2016, she beats French Manon Brunet 15 keys at 10 ^{[ first ]} .

Kharlan left the faction of the party of the regions within the Mykolaïv Municipal Council at the end of March 2014 ^{[ 8 ]} . In May 2014, she was a candidate for the Greens of Ukraine party in the local kyiv elections; But the party failed to cross the 3% electoral threshold and therefore won no headquarters at the kyiv Municipal Council ^{[ 9 ]} .
