Ousmane Coulibaly is from Mantes-la-Jolie, from the city of Val Fourré where he had Noureddine Kourichi as a coach. It is of Malian ancestry. His brother, Abderahmane Coulibaly, is a Thai boxing champion ^{[ first ]} .
