The Besançon Racing Club evolved from 1939 in the Léo Lagrange stadium. Built in 1936, it was at the origin of a Vélodrome stadium with 18,000 places. In 2000, the infrastructure no longer corresponding to technical standards and safety standards, cycling and athletics tracks were destroyed to enlarge the land (105mx68m instead of 100×65) as well as the southern stands (replaced by a semi- final) and the popular insanitary rostrum. But due to the new descent of the club in the amateur championship and the budgetary guidelines of the municipality, the works are currently slowed down. The current capacity is around 11,500 seats and the stadium will be shared with the other Bisontine clubs, in particular those evolving at the highest regional level.
