Iowa [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

  • Caucus :
  • National delegates: 45
  • Super-delegates: 12

The , the voters elected the delegates during the constituency caucus. The ballot was open to voters of Iowa registered as democrats (Iowa had 2,054,843 voters, including 31% of democrats) [ 5 ] .

These delegates will meet the County agreements in order to elect the delegates to district conventions and the State Convention. District conventions, , will designate 29 national delegates affiliated to a candidate. The State Convention, the , will designate 16 national delegates affiliated to a candidate. A total of 45 national delegates will be allocated to candidates. 12 other independent super-delegates will also be sent to the National Convention, for a total of 57 delegates [ 6 ]

The following table summarizes the results obtained by each candidate.

New Hampshire [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

  • National delegates: 22
  • Super-delegates: 8

22 delegates are allocated to the proportional votes, in each district, for candidates who received at least 15% of the vote. 8 Super-delegates, not affiliated with a candidate, are also designated. In all, the New Hampshire sends 30 delegates to the National Convention [ 8 ]

MICHIGAN [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

Due to the holding of his primary before , the National Democratic Committee withdrew from Michigan all of its 156 delegates; This primary therefore has no impact on the final election. In addition, only Hillary Clinton, Christopher Dodd (who withdrew from the nomination race), Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich are appointed to the bulletins [ 9 ] , the other candidates boycotting the election of Michigan in protest of his date deemed too hasty.

Apart from these considerations, the Michigan Democratic primary was held on the same day as republican primary. It was a primary open to 7,180,778 voters registered in Michigan [ ten ] where no affiliation prior to the Republican Party was necessary [ 11 ]

Nevada [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

Caroline from the south [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

Florida [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

The Florida having programmed its primaries too early, the National Democratic Committee has removed all its delegates to it, and the primary will not count for the final election.
