The Saint-Sulpice station (Tarn) is a French railway station on the Brive-la-Gaillarde line in Toulouse-Matabiau via Capdenac and the Montauban-Ville-Bourbon line in La Crémade (Castres) located on the territory of the town of Saint-Sulpice-la- Pointe in the department of Tarn, in the Occitanie region.

It was put into service in 1864 by the Paris Railway Company in Orleans (PO).

It is a passenger station of the National Society of French Railways (SNCF) of the TER Occitanie Network, served by regional express trains.

Established at 112 meters above sea level, the Saint-Sulpice station (Tarn) is located in the mileage point (PK) 365,947 of the Brive-la-Gaillarde line in Toulouse-Matabiau via Capdenac, between the open stations of Rabastens-Couffouleux and from Roqueserière – Buzet.

Bifurcation station, it is also located at PK 249,391 of the Montauban-Ville-Bourbon line at La Crémade between the closed stations of Buzet-sur-Tarn and Saint-Jean-de-Rives. The section to Montauban is downgraded. The section to the cremade is open, the first open station being that of the Cauquillous, after Saint-Jean-de-Rives [ first ] .

The “Saint-Sulpice” station is put into service on By the Compagnie du Chemin de Fer de Paris in Orléans (PO), when it opens the operation of the Toulouse line in Lexos [ 2 ] .

The total revenues made at Saint-Sulpice station (local and transit) is 306,719 francs in 1897 [ 3 ] , from 234,065 francs in 1901 [ 4 ] and 258,099 francs in 1903 [ 5 ] .

Between 2011 and 2013, a double way is created between Toulouse and Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe [ 6 ] .

In 2014, it was a traveler station of regional interest (category B: attendance is greater than or equal to 100,000 travelers per year from 2010 to 2011), which has three quays (including two central), seven shelters and two bridal [ 7 ] . The same year, according to SNCF estimates, the establishment’s annual attendance was 392,002 travelers in 2014 and 415,965 travelers in 2015 [ 8 ] , and 426,373 travelers in 2016. This makes it the busiest station in the department.

The frequentation of the station increases again in 2017. It is now located at almost half a million, or 462,238 annual travelers [ ten ] .

SNCF station, it has a passenger building, with window, open every day. It is equipped with PLCs for the purchase of TER transport securities. It is a “access-plus” station with developments, equipment and services for people with reduced mobility [ 11 ] .

Saint-Sulpice is served by the Occitania trains of the following relations:

Beyond Albi, some of these trains are from or to Carmaux or Rodez [ 13 ] .

Being therefore the start of the common trunk of three commercial lines (Capdenac, Rodez and Mazamet), the offer between Saint-Sulpice and Toulouse is relatively important, with at least 34 round trips every day from Monday to Friday [ 15 ] .

Intermodality [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

A park for bicycles (9 individual instructions, 20 Vélos hooks and 56 places in collective instructions) and a car park (170 places) for vehicles are fitted out there [ 11 ] .

It is served by buses of the Lio regional network (lines 702, 709, 717 and 765) and by cars, at SNCF pricing, lines: Toulouse – Albi [ 13 ] and Toulouse – Mazamet [ twelfth ] .

The station is also served by all two lines of the Saint-Sulpice urban network, the Sulpician.
