The South American Super Cup 1997 is here ten It is And last edition of the Sudamericana supercopa. The competition, reserved for the former winners of the Copa Libertadores, was won by the Argentinian club of CA River Plate.

17 clubs participate in the 1997 Sudamericana Supercopa as the victim of the Copa Libertadores. The CR Vasco da Gama participates as a former winner of the South American Championship Championship of Champions of Football of 1948, a test which was officially recognized by CONMEBOL in 1996.
