L’ 2011 edition of SummerSlam is an event of professional televisional wrestling and visible only in payment at the session. The event, produced by WWE, took place the in the omnisport room Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. This is the twenty-fourth edition of SummerSlam , one of the first four annual shows of the federation with the Royal Rumble , THE Survivor Series And WrestleMania (nicknamed ‘ The Big Four » , to know “The big four” ) [ 3 ] . Several Superstars and Divas of WWE are featured in the official poster, including Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio or John Cena.

Eight games, four of which bringing the Federation titles into play, were scheduled. Each of them is determined by storylines Written by WWE writers; either by rivalries which occurred before pay-per-view , either by qualifying matches in the event of a meeting for a championship. The event featured the wrestlers of the RAW and Smackdown divisions, created in 2002 during the separation of WWE staff into two separate promotions.

WWE shows in payment at the session are made up of matches to the results predetermined by the screenwriters of the Federation. These meetings are justified by storylines – Rivalry with a wrestler, most of the time – or by qualifications that occurred in WWE programs such as Raw , SmackDown And Superstars [ 4 ] . All wrestlers have a gimmick, that is to say that they embody a nice or mean character, who evolves over the meetings. A pay-per-view as SummerSlam is therefore a rotating event for the different storylines in progress [ 4 ] .

Christian against Randy Orton [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

During Money in the Bank 2011, Christian faces Randy Orton for the title of WWE World Heavyweight Championship, in yet another revenge. This time, if Orton was disqualified where if a bad decision of the arbitral body was said, Christian won the title, which happened. Orton therefore legitimately takes his revenge for the title in Summerslam 2011, in what was announced as a No Holds Barred Match (match without prohibited), the In SmackDown, by triple H, COO of WWE.

Cm punk against John Cena [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

At the time of Money in the Bank 2011 , John Cena faces CM Punk for the WWE championship which had the stipulation if CM Punk won the title, he left WWE with the belt, and John Cena would be sent from the federation. The match is finally won by CM Punk, which leaves the arena with the title despite the interventions of Vince McMahon.

The next day at Raw , Vince McMahon organizes a tournament to design the new champion; The final opposed Rey Mysterio to The Miz. But Vince McMahon arrives and pushes the final. While Vince McMahon is about to dismiss John Cena, Triple H arrives and announces that he is the new president and that Vince McMahon is noted from his duties and is replaced by Triple H, who chooses not to return John Cena. The following week, Rey Mysterio beats The Miz and becomes the new champion, but Triple H announces that he will have to defend his title the same evening against John Cena. At the end of the evening, Cena beats Mysterio and became the new WWE champion. While celebrating his victory, CM Punk arrives with a new entrance music, that of the ROH (very first professional wrestling federation where CM Punk wounded) and announces the following week that it is back. Triple H then announces a match between the two in Summerslam to designate the “real” champion ( Undisputed WWE Champion , as at the time when two world titles gathered by one and the same man). THE In Raw, Triple H also announces that he will arbitrate this match himself so that he said, no fault or cheating. The match therefore becomes a “special Guest referee Match” (match refereed by another person in the place of a usual referee).

Kelly Kelly contre Beth Phoenix [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

The first is August in Raw takes place a royal battle to determine the contender for the divas championship, and the winner will have a championship match in Summerslam, the title being held by Kelly Kelly. Beth Phoenix finally won the match. Kelly then comes to join Beth in the ring to congratulate her, but Beth attacks her and realizes a Heel Turn.

Sheamus against Mark Henry [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

At the time of Money in the Bank (2011) , Mark Henry beats The Big Show in a simple match; After the fall, Mark Henry continues to attack his opponent before stuck his left leg in a folding metal chair and jump on it from the strings, breaking the giant’s leg. Five days later, he comes to the ring after the Street fight match Between Randy Orton and Kane to attack the latter. Henry breaks the left leg of the Big Red Monster . A week later, while Henry demands an opponent worthy of him, only Sheamus agreed to face him. Henry flees in front of the Celtic Warrior . The official meeting is announced for Summerslam.
