Fifteen kilometers [ first ] , this stream has its source in the territory of the commune of Saint-Ciers-du-Taillon before successively crossing the municipalities of Sainte-Ramée, Saint-Dizant-du-Gua and Saint-Fort-sur-Gironde, where it throws itself into the Gironde estuary at the Port-Maubert level.
Called ” Talhons In the Middle Ages, it should its name to the presence of coppices along its banks.
