It is said That KT Tunstall has already recorded a new album in Berlin, in the famous Studio Hansa. This is the studio where Achtung Baby of U2 and Heroes by David Bowie were recorded, so that KT Tunstall said in an interview that she had the impression that “the studio was filled with ghosts”. After three years of absence on the stage since Drastic Fantastic In 2007, the singer remained discreet until Tiger Suit , released a few months after this announcement.

Influences [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

KT Tunstall explains that the title of the album, Tiger Suit (or “the disguise of the tiger”) is inspired by a recurring dream that she made being small. In this dream, she sees a tiger in her garden, and leaves to caress him carefree. Then, when she returns inside her house, when she is safe, she is seized with terror, realizing that the tiger could have killed her. By wondering the reasons why the tiger does nothing to her, she comes to the conclusion that she may bear a tiger disguise.
She explains in an interview that she was a lesson that she kept for her musical career, laughing with the fact that her musical career could have gone wrong, and that she finds herself taken from terror, once alone, that ” Things could have gone horribly badly. ”

She invents a term to qualify the music found in Tiger Suit , she speaks of a sound that she calls “techno nature”, in the sense that she mixes dance and electro sounds with her acoustic / folk origins. She explains about this that Tiger Suit is an album that could be listened to in a nightclub, except that this nightclub would rather be around a wood fire. It is the feeling that emerges from the song Push That Knot Away . She compares her work to that of the Leftfield group in the album Leftism .
