Walter Steinbauer , born the to Dießen Am Ammersee and died the In Monnau Am Staffelsee, is a West German bober in particular Olympic bronze medal in 1972.

At the 1972 winter games organized in Sapporo in Japan, during his only Olympic participation, Walter Steinbauer is bronze medalist in Bob with four with Wolfgang Zimmerer, Stefan Gaisreiter and Peter Utzschneider.
