Zéno beat , born the In Paris, is a French poet, playwright, essayist and translator.

Zeno Bianu was born in 1950 in Paris, a political Romanian father and a French mother and a French mother [ first ] .

Course and contributions [ modifier | Modifier and code ]

In 1971, he signed, with fifteen other poets, including Michel Bulteau and Matthieu Messagier, the Electric manifesto with skirt eyelids [ 2 ] . It is the beginning of a work of around fifty books, which questions poetry, theater, jazz and the Orient . His writings are published in particular by Gallimard ( Close , Despair does not exist , Catch fire – with André Velter) and at Fata Morgana ( Treaty of possibilities , The inner sky , The third shore ).

It also multiplies public readings, on the border of poetry, theater and recital-jazz. He thus recorded several CDs, including In the blue fire (Thélème), with Denis Lavant and published Poems to say, an anthology of contemporary French -speaking poetry Designed from the angle of orality (poetry/gallimard). He records books and performers on stage at the crossroads between poetry, music and photography, as for Song of Songs, dreams of Leonad Cohen ( Editions of the Improbable , 2019) . We also owe him a trilogy of poems devoted to music and jazz, to Editions du Castor Astral: Chet Baker (deploration) , Jimi Hendrix (magnetization) , John Coltrane (Meditation) , where he endeavors to restore the blue note of these artists [ 3 ] .

His theatrical pieces and adaptations, published by Acts Sud-Papiers, were played at the Avignon Festival (Honor of the Palais des Papes) and the Odéon-Théâtre de l’Europe, especially The Knight of Olmedo , in a staging of Lluis Pasqual, with Jean-Marc Barr, The idiot, last night , with Denis Lavant and Vincent Schmitt, in a staging by Balazs Gera, and A wizard , with Robin Renucci and Pierre Édernac, in a staging by Marc Feld.

His texts for the scene or the radio met the voices of Tchéky Karyo, Jacques Bonnaffé, Jean-Luc Debattice, François Marthouret, Pierre Clémenti, Isabelle Carré, Juliet Berto, Geneviève Page, Thierry Hancisse, Clovis Cornillac, Christian Cloarec, Évelyne Istria , Bruno Sermonne, Agnès Sourdillon-and the music or the choreographies of Elise Caron, Steve Potts, Aldo Romano, Gérard Siracusa, Stefano di Battista, Simon Goubert, Hélène Labarrière, David Linx, Alain Kremski, Jean-Paul Auboux, Mimi Lorenzini , Jean-Paul Célea, Marc Battier, Anne Ballester, John Boswell, Sandip Chatterjee, Gaspar Claus, Catherine Delasalle, Christophe Laborde, Noël McGhee, Jean-Luc Ponthieux, Wolfgang Reisinger, Françoise Toullec, Junko Ueda, Shiro Daimon, Brigitte Chataignier. ..

Fascinated by the oriental cultures [ 3 ] , he composed an anthology of classic Chinese poems, The empty mountain , with Patrick Carré (Au editions Albin Michel) and two anthologies of Haikus with Corinne Atlan (at Poetry/Gallimard editions). In his test Krishnamurti or the rebellion of the mind (Au Éditions du Seuil), a work devoted to Jiddu Krishnamurti, he delivers a reading of a “word of high disobedience” which intends to face “as close as possible to the discomfort of existing” [ 4 ] .

He directed the collection in the early 2000s Poetry at Jean-Michel Place editions, collection bringing together and meeting two poets each volume [ 5 ] : Jacques Lacarrière by Luis Mizon, Charles Juliet by Jean-Pierre Siméon, Ghérasim Luca by André Velter, Marina Tsvétaïéva by Linda Lê, Serge Pey by Arlette Albert-Birot, William Burroughs by F.J. Ossang, André du Bouchet by Antoine Émaz, Bernard Noël By Régine Detambel, Matthieu Messagier by Renaud Ego, Pierre-Jean Jouve by Franck Venaille, Armand Gatti by Marc Kravetz, Sylvia Plath by Valérie Rouzeau, etc.

His texts were translated into English by Cid Corman, Pierre Joris and Jack Hirschman, and in Spanish by Clara Janès and Luis Mizon.

It is perceived by Charles Dobzynski as “the blues color saxophonist with a poetry always open to the open sea”, and by Alain Jouffroy as a “specialist in mental infinity”. Zéno Bianu appears as a romantic figure in Enigma , Antoni Casas Ros’s second novel.
