Irge Powell Jiří Pauer , February 22, 1919 -December 28, 2007) is a Czech composer.

Born near Kradno. From 1943 to 1946, he studied under Alois Herba at the Prague Conservatory, and later studied under Pavel Boshkovet at the Prague Arts Academy. Later, he stood on the podium at the Arts Academy for many years and raised many disciples.

At the time of the Velvy Revolution in 1989, he was in the position of the General of the Prague National Theater, but when actors and staff started striking at the National Theater and Prague State Opera on November 17, Powell locked out and opposed. Three weeks later, the general coach was dismissed as supporters of the Communist Party.

The works include symphony, orchestra, horn concertos, trumpet concertos, indoor songs, and piano songs.
