Anna Raymond Massey (Thakeham, 11 August 1937 – London, 3 July 2011) was a British actress, active in theater, cinema and television [first] [2] .

Grandson of the Governor General of Canada Vincent Massey, sister of the actor Daniel Massey, daughter of art – his parents were the actors Adrianne Allen and Raymond Massey, who divorced when she was two years old – was married to the actor Jeremy Brett, famous Television interpreter of the character of Sherlock Holmes, from whom he had a son, David in 1959, and from whom he divorced in 1962. In 1988 he remarried with Uri Andres, with whom he remained until his death.

He made his debut in the theater at the age of seventeen in 1955, at the Theater Royal in Brighton, even without having attended any acting school, holding the role of Jane in The Reluctant Debutante (Pièce from which the film was taken How to marry a daughter ). The interpretation of the same role a few weeks later at London’s Cambridge Theater assured her a first notoriety. [3] So the actress left the London cast to repeat her performance in New York in October 1956. [4]

He made his debut in cinema in 1958 in the film 24 ore a Scotland Yard , playing the role of Sally, daughter of the inspector of Scotland Yard Jack Hawkins.
