Anne goal , pseudonym of Changy simonne (Tolone, 17 December 1921 – Le Chesnay, 14 July 2017 [first] ), was a French writer famous for writing the series of novels of the cycle with her husband Serge Golon Angelica .

Anne Golon was born as Simone Changeux on December 17, 1921 in Tolone, a port in the south-east of France. [2] He was the daughter of Pierre Changeux, a scientist and a French navy captain. [3] Interested in painting and writing since early childhood, he published his first novel, In the country behind my eyes , [4] When he was 18 under the pseudonym Joëlle Danters. Then he started working as a journalist.

In the summer of 1940, when France was occupied by the Nazis, the family moved to live in Versailles. Simone left France occupied by bicycle and moved to Spain. Back home at the end of the war, he resumed writing using several pseudonyms, founded the magazine France 1947 (which became later France Magazine ) and received a literary prize for the novel The Patrol of the Holy Innocents . He went to Africa as a freelance journalist, in 1947 he met his future husband, Vsevolod Sergeïvich Goloubinoff, better known as Serge Golon. [3] Married to Pointe-Noire, the couple had four children: Cyrille (n. 1950), Nadine (n. 1955), Pierre (n. 1957) and Marina (n. 1961). Life in Congo, however, became increasingly difficult and the couple decided to return to France, establishing himself in Versailles.

In 1952, helped for historical research by her husband, the writer began the writing of a historical novel set in the seventeenth century starring an angelic imaginary heroine, nicknamed the Marchesa degli Angeli, contemporary of Louis XIV. The novel entitled Angelica La Marchesa degli Angeli He was edited for the first time in 1956 in Germany and accredited to Anne Golon. When he was published in France the following year he was instead credited to Anne and Serge Golon. The two of their names were subsequently combined in “Sergeanne Golon” by British publishers when the novel was translated into English. Thirteen volumes of this historic saga were published between 1953 and 1985. The popularity of the novels of Angelica He led in the 1960s to the realization of a series of five films directed by Bernard Borderie. In 1972 Anne and Serge moved to Canada to carry out some searches for a novel in the series Angelica . On July 12 of that same year Serge died in Québec. After the death of her husband Anne, however, she continued to write by creating four other volumes from the series and ending the series in 1985 with the novel Angelica’s victory .

In the 90s Anne has fought a cause against the French publisher Hachette for copyright abuse and unpaid copyright. In 1995, the Paris Court ordered the company to sell them 50% and not 30% of its rights. [7] The legal dispute ended in 2005 and did not regain its rights until 2006.

Anne Golon died on July 14, 2017 by Peritonite in Le Chesnay, a municipality at the gates of Versailles. [3] [8] His funeral took place on 25 July in the Cathedral of San Luigi in Versailles, where he was then buried in the cemetery of the Montreuil district.
