Hiraaki Otaki (Otaki Hiramasa, 1949 (Showa 24) January 16 [first] -) Is a Japanese politician. Former Mayor Murakami (2nd term).

Born in Yamakita Town, Niigata Prefecture (currently Murakami City). In March 1967, he graduated from Niigata Prefectural Shindeta Commerce and Industry High School (the predecessor of Niigata Prefectural Shinsenchita Commercial High School and Niigata Prefectural Shibata Minami High School). In April of the same year, he got a job at a printing company. In March 1984 (Showa 59), he became a member of the Yamakita Town Council. In December 1994, he resigned from the town council to run for the Yamakita mayoral election. In April 1999 (Heisei 11), he became Mayor of Yamakita [2] [3]

On April 1, 2008, Murakami City (former city) merges with Arakawa -cho, Kambayashi -mura, Asahi -mura, and Yamakita -cho, Iwafune -gun, and a new city system “Murakami City” will be born. As a result, he ran independently in the Mayor of Murakami, which was executed on April 27 of the same year, and was elected for the first time by breaking the former Mayor Murakami Jun Sato. 2012 (Heisei 24) The second won in the mayoral election in April. On May 31, 2015 (Heisei 25), resigned due to illness.
