The Second Federal League Fnrj [first] 1961-1962 , simply known as Second League 1961-1962 , was the 16th edition of the second division of the Yugoslav of football championship.

The format was based on two west and east groups ( West It is East ). In the western group the teams from Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina were inserted, while in the eastern one from Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. [2]

From next season there will be an increase in participants: 32 teams instead of 24 (always divided into two west and east groups). At the same time, the maximum division will also have an increase: from 12 to 14. [3]
