He was born in Friuli in Tissano Fraction of Santa Maria La Longa (UD) and in the early twentieth century he followed the family in Rome where he begins to attend the study of the watercolor painter Enrico Nardi. Here he comes into contact with the work of the English incisor Edward Millington Synge while remaining strongly impressed. Engraver [ change | Modifica Wikitesto ] Determined to devote himself to the art of football, in 1905, Mauroner moved to Venice where he begins to attend the free school of the nude of the Academy of Fine Arts of the Lagunare City. Amedeo Modigliani attends the same school: the portrait of Fabio Mauroner by Modigliani, exhibited at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Udine, is testified about the friendship of the two artists. His visual depictions are rendered with great attention to details according to a precise perspective rendering of the tradition of eighteenth -century Venetian seer. Between 1910 and 1912 he traveled between Rome, Paris, London and Spain by deepening their knowledge regarding the incision of invention. It approaches the incisor production of the Anglo -Saxon school by grafting it on the model of the eighteenth -century Venetian tradition. In 1922 he was called for the first time to participate in the Venice Biennale where he continued continuously until 1948 year of his death. In 1948 the Venetian Biennale dedicated a retrospective exhibition to Fabio Mauroner. Collector [ change | Modifica Wikitesto ] Fabio Mauroner was also an engraving collector of the main Venetian seer: Canaletto, Guardi, Bellotto. Some of its main works are today part of the heritage, thanks to the testamentary legacy, of Italian museums (such as the Correr Museum of Venice or the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Udine).
