In the 1931-1932 season Legnano returns to have a president; Ernesto Castiglioni is elected at the top of the Lilla company. The goal of the new management is that settles a team suitable for playing a good Serie B championship without aspiring to promotion in the top flight. On the transfer market front, some of the best players for budget issues are sold. In particular, they leave the Small The defender Antonio Perduca, the midfielder Giuseppe Bigogno and the striker Giorgio Cidri, while the midfielder Mirko Gruden and defender Guido Duo arrived at Legnano. On the Lilla Barbasino bench is replaced by the Hungarian Otto Krappan.

This season ends with 11th place in the ranking at 34 points, 9 lengths from Udinese, before the relegation, and 16 points from the leaders Palermo. The balance of the Legnano championship is also confirmed by the difference in networks (50 goals made and 54 suffered) and by the balance between the victories and defeats, which is of absolute equality (14 meetings won and as many lost). Also in this season the progressive and constant decline of paying spectators at the via Pisacane stadium continues.
