Force of July – Wikipedia

The Force of July It is a group of imaginary antagonists superheroes of the DC Comics introduced in Batman and the Outsiders n. 1 of 1984. They were created by Mike Barr and Jim Aparo.

The team is made up of extremely patriotic metumans and in most comics, if not in all, they end up being the antagonists of the other groups of superheroes, including outsiders and suicide squad. The Squad was manipulated to attack the group as a floor to reveal the criminal behind the direction.

The new version of the Force of July consisted of normal human agents of the government who met for the first time green arrow in Green Arrow vol. 2 n. 96 (April 1995).

• Lady Liberty: projects energy rays from its torch and can fly. Killed in an explosion aboard the Kobra satellite during the culmination of the Janus Directive.
• Major Victory: William Vickers, leader of the group. He owns superforce, flight and energy rays thanks to his costume designed for him by the government. Killed by Eclipso.
• Mayflower: ability to control plants growth. It was strangled by Ravan of the Suicide Squad.
• Silent majority: powers are self -education. All his duplicates were killed in battle aboard the Kobra satellite, when he tried to destroy a device that would kill billions of people.
• Sparkler: consisting powers in flight and the ability to point the light in the form of laser or even fireworks. He was later killed by Dr. Light, who had a serious mental problem in conceiving teenage superheroes.
• B. Eric Blairman : Connection of the government for the American Security Agency, owned the medusa mask of the psycho pirate.
• Abraham Lincoln Carlyle : Connection of the government. He had a heart attack during the attack of the Suicide Squad.

In Crisis Aftermath: The Battle for Blüdhaven n. 1 (part of the events of a year later) an alleged faction of the Force of July was introduced as a guardian of the destroyed city of Blüdhaven. This group was called Freedom’s Ring and among its members there were versions of Lady Liberty, Major Victory and Silent Majority. Recently, Silent Mjority and Lady Liberty were killed by the nuclear Legion, leaving Major Victory the only alive. As in n. 2, the Freedom’s Rings were absorbed by a special team of the S.H.A.D.E. called First Strike. Other members (doll man, the human bomb and Phantom Lady) joined the new fighters for freedom. The leader of S.H.A.D.E. He is Father Tempo, while the leader of First Strike is the new American.

Father Time has super strength, invulnerability, longevity, and has the ability to read minds.

• Bigfoot : a southern white man altered in a giant with gray skin. Speak using typical terms of the United States of the South such as “Suh” and “A’hm”. He was accidentally killed by the human bomb during a comparison in Uncle Sam and The Freedom Fighters n. 2.
• Doll man: Lester Colt, a barbuto soldier of low stature with specialized weapons.
• Gonzo the mechanical bastard: Gonzo is a robot who took the place of Senator Knight in charge for the presidency and is now the new president of the United States. It was revealed that Gonzo was created by the Matemago of the anti -life equation.
• Human bomb: Andy Franklin was changed by the bomb that destroyed Blüdhaven, and he was given the ability to make any material touched with bare skin detone. He demonstrated his power by launching a piece of a nail and, in doing so, he blew up a troop of Atom Knight, killing them in the resulting explosion.
• Lady Liberty : the second replacement that brings the same torch. It is assumed that he was killed by Ravager.
• Major Force: group leader. Nobody in the group respects him, in particular Phantom Lady, who calls him the “Easter rabbit of steroids” and “major stupid”.
• Major Victory : claims to have “kicked the rear of seven nations”. He was beaten to death with his own arm torn from him by Major Force.
• Phantom Lady: the new Phantom Lady. His name is Stormy Knight. Its black light projector can bend dimensional reality.
• Replicant : originally known as Astronaut Fetus . It was pruned among the Bleeds with Captain Atomo when he returned to the DC universe after the series Captain Atom: Armageddon . It refers to itself as the smarter being in this world and showed that she had psychic skills.
• Silent Majority : The replacement of Silent Majority although it is not clear if there are other references of other people who used the same name.
