The General elections in Artsakh of 2020 They were held on March 31 (first round) and April 14 (second round) for the election of the President of the Republic and the renewal of the National Assembly.

It was the first elections in the Republic of Artsakh (formerly the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh) after the constitutional reform of 2017. The outgoing president Bako Sahakyan had been elected by the same national assembly and not to direct popular suffrage.

282 electoral seats were established in 229 urban and rural communities of the country. A seat was established in Erevan at the Diplomatic Representation of the Artsakh in Armenia and another seat at the Sushi penitentiary.

According to the data provided by the Central Electoral Commission, 75,855 voters participated in 72.69% of those entitled (104,348). [4]

807 representatives of fourteen NGOs and 197 representatives of thirty -seven media were credited. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, many accredited observers have given up on the presence. [5]
