Hina no Yado -Wikipedia

『 Chick inn (Hinayado) is a short story of Yukio Mishima. It is one of the works of the ghost story system written by Mishima, sometimes regarded as a strange novel. ^[first] 。 Published in the April issue of the magazine “All Reading” in 1953 (Showa 28). ^[2] 。 The paperback edition is included in the “goddess” of Shincho Bunko ^[3] 。 The translated version is performed in Italy (La Dimora Delle Bambole).

After the university’s 2nd grade examination on March 2, “I” was walking around 4 o’clock in the evening of the peach festival on the 3rd. At a pachinko parlor near the Sukiya Bridge, there was a female student with ojage hair on the next table. “I” was interested in a girl of the same age as her sister who died last year, and called out to her. When we left the store together, the girl came innocently. The girl named Kiyoko Kanda invited me to her house.

I went down at Musashi Koganei Station and arrived at the dark Nomichi Yuki and Kiyoko’s house. There was an elderly woman named Kiyoko’s mother in the house, and a big doll was displayed. The dining table was made at the Hinamatsuri, as an ashtray, and the dishes made with tweezers were lined up in miniature bowls and plates. Kiyoko, who was drunk with white sake, was sleepy and left. The “I” trying to return was strongly drawn by my mother and was encouraged to stay. In the room, Kiyoko lied naked and was waiting.

Later, when I went to see the house in the fall, I heard a rumor from a nearby general store that the two were different mothers and children. Looking into the Kanda family, they were sitting in the same way as before, without any trembling in front of the hinadan. “I” hurriedly left there.

Shizuichi Yashiro, who was often attending Mishima and Ginza bars in 1953 (Showa 28), when “Hina no Yado” was announced, similar to what happened in Kiyoko’s house written in this short story.
