Mikari parking area Is the parking area (PA) on the Kanmon Bridge (Kanmon Expressway) in Moji -ku, Kitakyushu -shi, Fukuoka. It is installed only on the up line (Shimonoseki direction).

The area name “Mikari” is a hiragana notation of Wabukari, a place name in the neighborhood. Located in a corner of Wakumari Park, you can see Kanmon Bridge, Shimonoseki City and Dannoura on the opposite shore. When the Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival is held in mid -August, the entrance is closed as soon as it is full to avoid congestion. In addition, when the fireworks display is held, the return rush during the Bon Holiday overlaps, so the Kanmon Bridge and Kanmon Tunnel are likely to fall into traffic.

This is the first area where a wheelchair toilet is installed as a Japanese service area (SA) and parking area along with the Dannoura PA located on the other side of the Shimonoseki side. Like the Dannoura PA, this PA also has the same facilities as a service area, but the gas station does not have to the China Expressway PA. The nearest gas station is the Kyushu Expressway Koga SA and the Higashi Kyushu Expressway Imagawa PA.

It is just after passing through the Wafukari tunnel, the northernmost highway tunnel of Kyushu, the parking space in the parking area is connected to the loop on the south side of the anchor block of Kanmon Bridge (up line side). It has a structure surrounding. Since the observatory space and restaurants are located outside the on -lamp, a pedestrian pedestrian bridge that crosses the lamp is provided. The Mojiko IC shares the on -lamp and cannot use this PA from Mojiko IC.

The tunnel of the Heisei Chikuho Railway Mojiko Retro Tourism Line (Kitakyushu Bank Retro Line) has passed directly below the area.
