Piovo meatballs 2 – The revenge of the leftovers ( Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 ) is an animated film from 2013 directed by Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn and starring the vocal cast Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Andy Samberg and Benjamin Bratt. It is the sequel to the 2009 film Raining meat balls , taken from the novel for children Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett.

After causing a disastrous Flint food storm and his friends are forced to abandon the city of marinated Swallow. The scientist accepts the invitation of his idol, Chester V, to join the Live Corp Company, a team to which the task of cleaning the island has been entrusted and where the best inventors in the world create technologies to improve everyone’s lives people. Flint hopes to be able to join the live corp and become a “cerebronauta”, but unfortunately things do not go as expected and ends up combining a disaster.

However, Flint is summoned by Chester, and here he discovers that his invention, Fldsmdfr, is still functional and that this time he is creating strange animals made up of food. Chester V advises Flint to take care of the mission alone, but he ends up involving his friends and father. The group therefore decides to return to marinated switch, but on their arrival the island is not as they remembered it: the climate is different, the remains of the city are scattered in a jungle and there are creatures similar to food animals, the animacibi , all created by the FLDSMDFR; Some of them like Fà, a small strawberry, seem peaceful, however others like the spider-burger prove hostile.

At this point Chester reveals his intentions: he used creatures as an excuse to get rid of Flint and steal his car to create new goodness bars. Meanwhile, a base of Live Corp and Sam starts to build on the mountains of the island and the others are escorted inside.

Frà reaches Flint and explains to him what happened to his friends, after which he calls all the animaci to help him save the group. With the help of all the creatures of the island, Flint is launched by his father in the unfinished part of the base. While Forà deals with freeing the caught animacibis, Flint faces Chester, who intends to transform his friends into goodness bars. Flint, however, manages to free his friends and puts Chester to the narrow, who in the end is eaten by a Spider-Burger. Flint, Sam and the others therefore decide to stay marinated and found their laboratory: “Sparkswood”.

The first news about the production of the sequel to Raining meat balls They arrived in April 2010, when the Io9 website reported that the directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller would not take care of the direction of the second film.
