It is nine kilometers southeast of Kadaň and belongs to the Okres Chomutov. The village square with the chapel Pětipsy is located northeast of the Duppau mountains in the northern Bohemian pool. The village is located on the left bank of the Liboc below the confluence of the Hasnický potok. In the west and north, the place will bypass the Kaštice-Kadaň-Prunéřov railway line. North of the Nechranice reservoir and the Hradec substation is located in the northwest. The first documentary mention of Pětipsy was under the name in 1226 PetiPezi as possession of the Premonstratensian monastery Doksany. The goods later reached the Bohemian Chamber. In 1321 Johann von Luxemburg pledged the place to Friedrich von Egerberg. This had a firm built that became the seat of the family branch of the Pětipeský von Chyše and Egerberg. In 1360 Friedrich’s son Odolen Pětipeský inherited the rule. At the end of the 15th century, Wenzel Pětipeský von Egerberg sold the property to Wenzel Lobkowicz von Hassenstein, who connected Pětipsy to Hassstein’s rule. In 1518, Pětipsy was separated from Hassenstein again and sold by Sigismund Lobkowicz from Hassenstein to Apel von Vitzthum. After a short flowering period, Apel was transferred from Vitzthum of the false coin and expelled from the country. His goods were confiscated in 1530 and Pětipsy pledged to Hieronymus Schlick. In 1559 Andreas Schlick shared Pětipsy and sold a part to Hieronymus d. Ä. by Hrobschitz and the others to Bernard Koštický von Koštice. In 1560 Hieronymus bought the other half from Hrobschitz. Because of his participation in the estate, Ulrich Hrobschitzky von Hrobschitz after the Battle of the Weißen Berg was punished with the loss of the inheritability of his goods. With his death, Pětipsy was sold to Christoph Simon von Thun in 1629 and immediately sold to Christoph Simon. Pětipsy’s rule was united in 1652 with the Majorat rule Klösterle and deleted from the state board. In the Berní Rula from 1654, 50 houses are designated for Pěipsy. The residents lived from agriculture until the 19th century. In 1847 the village had about 400 inhabitants. After the patrimonial rule was lifted, five dogs / Pětipsy formed a municipality in the Kaaden district from 1850. At that time the lignite mining began and around the village, eleven coal shafts were operated. Five dogs were the most important lignite mining area between Kaaden and Komotau. In 1866 the director of the Dolní Beřkovice sugar factory, Gustav Hodek founded a sugar factory in five dogs. From 1870, a ten -year decline in mining began with the economic crisis. In 1880, almost 800 people lived in five dogs. Due to the Schönhof – Radonitz local railway, the Brüxer Kohle quickly became a competition that the local pits did not upset. In 1903 the local railway was inaugurated from Willomitz to Kaaden, where five dogs received a train station. The sugar factory stopped operating in 1914. Until 1918, coal was funded to a small extent. The population has been declining since then. In 1928, a Czech school was created for the Czech minority, which belonged to about a tenth of the residents. In 1930, 569 people lived in five dogs. In the 1930s, a straw sleeve factory started operating in the former sugar factory. As a result of the Munich agreement, the location came to the German Reich from October 1, 1938 and was part of the Kaaden district until 1945. After the end of the Second World War, the village returned to Czechoslovakia and the majority of the German population was sold or killed. In 1948, the property of the Hodek family was nationalized and the castle and the former sugar factory was transferred to the Poláky state estate. At the beginning of 1961, the community came to Okres Chomutov and at the same time Vidolice was incorporated. The sugar factory was blown up in the 1960s. In 1976 Libědice and Čejkovice were incorporated, which detached themselves again in 1990. The municipality of Pětipsy consists of the districts of Pětipsy ( Five dogs ) and Vidolice ( Wiedelitz ). [3] chapel Ruin of the Pěipsy Castle, the Gothic Festival of the Lords of Egerberg was transformed into a Renaissance castle under the Hrobčický 1560. A baroque conversion took place in the 18th century among the counts Thun-Hohenstein. In the middle of the 19th century, the Hodek family acquired the castle. After the expropriation of the Hodks in 1948, the building was transferred to the Poláky state estate, which had the castle deteriorated by 1990 to a ruin, from which only the walls are. The ruin has been owned by the Hodek family since 1995.
