In his earlier career, he played in the German Bundesliga for VfL Wolfsburg, Karlsruher SC and SC Paderborn 07. In the early 2000s he was also a Turkish youth national player. Sa\u011fl\u0131k started his career at SC Gr\u00fcn-Wei\u00df Paderborn and switched to SC Paderborn 07. In 2003 he went to LR Ahlen.
