Sonia K. LaFlamme jest pisarzem Quebecu, urodzonym na przedmieściach Quebecu w Saint-Romuald.

Studiowała kryminologię, antropologię i hiszpański na University of Montreal, gdzie uzyskała maturę nauk. Od wczesnych lat 2000. poświęciła się literaturze dziecięcej.

  • Nagroda komunikacyjna i firma z 2006 roku za swoją powieść Klub śmiechu (2005, pokój).

Była członkiem Rady Dyrektorów Stowarzyszenia Pisterów Młodzieży Quebecu (AEQJ) w latach 2004–2009, oprócz przyjęcia prezydentury w latach 2007–2009. Była także dyrektorem literackim w éditions de la Paix (2007-2009) .

Oprócz uczestnictwa w Quebecu, kanadyjskim, a nawet zagranicznych wycieczkach glebowych (Francja, Haiti i Salwador) i pomimo diagnozy wczesnego Parkinsona upadłego w 2012 roku, zaoferowała liczne warsztaty i prezentacje dotyczące zawodu autora w szkołach i bibliotekach. Jest to część repertuaru zasobów edukacyjnych z Ministerstwa Kultury, Komunikacji i stanu kobiet w Quebecu.
