The House of Representatives voted in favor of overturning his veto, but the Council did not.[7] (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});after-content-x4On December 18, the Council approved Governor Campbell’s nominations of J. H. Hayward for Auditor and J. W. Donnan for Treasurer.[8]Membership[edit]Council[edit]AffiliationParty (Shading indicates majority caucus)TotalDemocraticRepublicanPopulistVacantBeginning of 2nd Legislature5[1]3190Latest voting share55.56%33.33%11.11%House of Representatives[edit]AffiliationParty (Shading indicates majority caucus)TotalDemocraticRepublicanPopulistVacantBeginning of 2nd Legislature9[1]40130Latest voting share69.23%30.77%0.00%References[edit]^ a b c “1871 Legislature Membership”.
