He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 till January 2023.Previously he was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 2008 to 2018 and a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2007.Early life and education[edit]He was born on 28 August 1960 in Kasur.[1] He is direct descendent of Heera Singh Sandhu founder of the Nakai Misl; hence is also related to Maharani Datar Kaur, wife of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.He graduated in 1983 form University of the Punjab[1] and has the degree of Bachelor of Arts.[2] (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});after-content-x4Political career[edit]He contested and won from both NA-140 and NA-141 in 2002.
