They reacted by dismissing manager Billy Bonds and promoting Redknapp to the manager’s seat. Redknapp then earned the instant admiration of the Upton Park faithful by signing Don Hutchison and re-signing striker Tony Cottee, who returned to the club after six years at Everton. Redknapp also strengthened the squad over the next months by bringing in Julian Dicks, Les Sealey and Stan Lazaridis.The Hammers spent much of the season battling against relegation, but a good run of form during the final month pulled them up to a secure 14th-place finish.Final league table[edit]Source: Premier LeagueRules for classification: 1) points; 2) goal difference; 3) number of goals scored.Notes:Results summaryOverallHomeAwayPldWDLGFGAGDPtsWDLGFGAGDWDLGFGAGD421311184448 −4509662819 +945121629 −13Results by matchdayMatch123456789101112131415161718192021222324252627282930313233343536373839404142GroundHAAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAAHHAHAHHAHAHAAHAAAHAHHAHHResultDLLLDWLWWLWLLWLLLDWDLWLLLWDLLWLDDWDWDWDLWDPosition131819211917191513141214141417171819171818161619201920202019191819182017181615161314Source: Statto.comA = Away; H = Home; W = Win; D = Draw; L = LossResults[edit]West Ham United’s score comes first[1]Legend[edit]FA Premier League[edit]DateOpponentVenueResultAttendanceScorers20 August 1994Leeds UnitedH0–018,61024 August 1994Manchester CityA0–319,15027 August 1994Norwich CityA0–119,11031 August 1994Newcastle UnitedH1–317,375Hutchison (pen)10 September 1994LiverpoolA0–030,90717 September 1994Aston VillaH1–018,326Cottee25 September 1994ArsenalH0–218,4952 October 1994ChelseaA2–118,696Allen, Moncur8 October 1994Crystal PalaceH1–016,959Hutchison15 October 1994Manchester UnitedA0–143,79522 October 1994SouthamptonH2–018,853Rush, Allen29 October 1994Tottenham HotspurA1–326,271Rush1 November 1994EvertonA0–128,3535 November 1994Leicester CityH1–018,780Dicks (pen)19 November 1994Sheffield WednesdayA0–125,30026 November 1994Coventry CityH0–117,2514 December 1994Queens Park RangersA1–212,780Boere10 December 1994Leeds UnitedA2–228,987Boere (2)17 December 1994Manchester CityH3–017,286Cottee (3)26 December 1994Ipswich TownH1–120,562Cottee28 December 1994WimbledonA0–111,21231 December 1994Nottingham ForestH3–120,664Holmes, Hughes, Cottee2 January 1995Blackburn RoversA2–425,503Cottee, Dicks14 January 1995Tottenham HotspurH1–224,578Boere23 January 1995Sheffield WednesdayH0–214,5544 February 1995Leicester CityA2–120,375Cottee, Dicks (pen)13 February 1995EvertonH2–221,081Cottee (2)18 February 1995Coventry CityA0–217,56325 February 1995ChelseaH1–221,500Hutchison5 March 1995ArsenalA1–036,295Hutchison8 March 1995Newcastle UnitedA0–234,59511 March 1995Norwich CityH2–221,464Cottee (2)15 March 1995SouthamptonA1–115,178Hutchison18 March 1995Aston VillaA2–028,682Moncur, Hutchison8 April 1995Nottingham ForestA1–128,361Dicks13 April 1995WimbledonH3–021,804Boere, Dicks (pen), Cottee17 April 1995Ipswich TownA1–118,882Boere30 April 1995Blackburn RoversH2–024,202Hutchison, Rieper3 May 1995Queens Park RangersH0–022,9236 May 1995Crystal PalaceA0–118,22410 May 1995LiverpoolH3–022,446Hutchison (2), Holmes14 May 1995Manchester UnitedH1–124,783HughesFA Cup[edit]League Cup[edit]Squad at end of season[2]Note: Flags indicate national team as defined under FIFA eligibility rules.
