This district largely consists of a variety of stone, brick, and frame residences which were built between 1780 and 1930.[2]The village was laid out during the 1830s, and was developed as a company town during the early twentieth century by Pierre S. du Pont (1870\u20131954).[2]It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.[1]References[edit]^ a b c “National Register Information System”.
