From 1921 to 1964, these championships were four-eventomnium of track-style events,[1][2]rather than a road race. USACycling souvenir programs list no results for events in 1931-1934, 1938, and 1942-1944. The 1939 program summarizes the 1937 National Champions. The 1938 results are from anational championship with similar events and format that the Amateur Athletic Union promoted.[3]YearLocationGoldSilverBronze1921Washington DCArthur Nieminsky N YAnthony Beckman NJCarl Stockholm Il1922Atlantic City NJCarl Hambacher NJSteve O’Connor CaEdward Conrad Mo1923Chicago IlCharles Barclay CaCharlie Winter NYEdward Walsh Il1924Buffalo NYCharlie Winter NY\u201cIggie\u201d Gronkowski NYThos.
