In their first season as members of the AIAW, UTA went 11–6 and finished 5th in the AIAW State Tournament. The Mavericks would play in the AIAW until joining the NCAA for the 1981–82 athletic season. During that time, UTA won two AIAW State titles and advanced to the AIAW Women’s College World Series each time (1976 and 1977).[2] The highest finish was an eighth-place finish in the Spring of 1976, when they went 2–2.[3] (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});after-content-x4Shortly after UTA joined the NCAA, they began play in the Southland Conference and won regular season conference championships in 1983, 1986, 1989, 2003 and 2007, while finishing as runners-up in 1985, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1993, 2008 and 2011. UTA has not had the same success in the conference tournament, where they have compiled a record of 27–39. Their only tournament championship came in 2003, while they have finished as the tournament runners-up in 1983, 1987 and 2006.The watershed moment for the Mavericks program came in the 2003 NCAA Tournament. UTA was the 7th seed in the 8-team Gainesville Regional. UTA went 2–2, with a 1–0 win over Florida State, followed by a 2–0 win over host Florida. UTA’s first loss occurred to eventual Regional champion Oklahoma, 6–2. In the following game, they were eliminated by Oregon State 2–0.[4]For the 2013 season, UTA played in the Western Athletic Conference. In the 2014 season, UTA began participation as members of the Sun Belt Conference.UTA, despite leaving the Southland Conference after the 2012 season, remains tied in the conference in total all-conference selections with 108 and still leads in first team all-conference selections with 43.[5]Season-by-season results[edit]Statistics overviewSeasonCoachOverallConferenceStandingPostseasonJody Conradt (Independent) (1973–1976)Fall 1973Conradt11–65th AIAW State TournamentFall 1974Conradt15–4AIAW State TournamentFall 1975Conradt19–81st AIAW State TournamentSpring 1976Conradt8–48th AIAW College World SeriesJody Conradt:53–22 (.707)Butch McBroom (Independent) (1976–1977)Fall 1976McBroom25–31st AIAW State TournamentSpring 1977McBroom8–5AIAW College World SeriesButch McBroom:33–8 (.805)Karen Owen (Independent) (1977–1979)Fall 1977Owen23–6AIAW State TournamentSpring 1978Owen24–165th AIAW Regional TournamentFall 1978Owen8–22AIAW State TournamentSpring 1979Owen17–14–1AIAW Regional TournamentKaren Owen:72–58–1 (.553)Randy Porter (Independent) (1979–1983)Fall 1979Porter17–144th AIAW State TournamentSpring 1980Porter34–157th AIAW Regional TournamentFall 1980Porter27–103rd AIAW State TournamentSpring 1981Porter29–142nd AIAW Regional TournamentFall 1981Porter27–153rd AIAW State TournamentSpring 1982Porter29–214th AIAW Regional TournamentFall 1982Porter16–8Randy Porter:179–97 (.649)Randy Porter (Southland) (1983–1984)Spring 1983Porter39–195–11stFall 1983Porter6–12Spring 1984Porter26–25–23–1T-1stRandy Porter:71–56–2 (.558)8–2 (.800)Rayla Allison (Southland) (1984–1989)Fall 1984Allison9–4Spring 1985Allison27–228–42ndFall 1985Allison5–9Spring 1986Allison25–2510–2T-1stFall 1986Allison9–5Spring 1987Allison36–279–32ndFall 1987Allison9–12–2Spring 1988Allison34–2710–32ndFall 1988Allison4–3Spring 1989Allison34–1910–21stRayla Allison:192–153–2 (.556)47–14 (.770)Anne Campbell (Southland) (1989–1996)Fall 1989Campbell3–51990Campbell27–247–32nd1991Campbell21–389–155th1992Campbell32–3016–125th1993Campbell36–2318–62nd1994Campbell17–3711–197th1995Campbell22–349–237th1996Campbell28–3010–146thAnne Campbell:186–221 (.457)80–92 (.465)Debbie Hedrick (Southland) (1997–2012)1997Hedrick18–3010–114th1998Hedrick16–2911–155th1999Hedrick31–2517–103rd2000Hedrick22–3313–146th2001Hedrick25–22–115–103rd2002Hedrick16–30–19–177th2003Hedrick41–1723–41stNCAA Regional2004Hedrick24–24–115–104th2005Hedrick17–26–113–135th2006Hedrick32–2216–93rd2007Hedrick36–1619–51st2008Hedrick27–2220–10T-2nd2009Hedrick23–2417–135th2010Hedrick29–2516–123rd2011Hedrick33–2520–10T-2nd2012Hedrick15–275–15T-10thDebbie Hedrick:405–397–4 (.505)239–178 (.573)Kristie Fox (Western Athletic Conference) (2013–2013)2013Fox25–288–13T-6thKristie Fox (Sun Belt Conference) (2014–2017)2014Fox21–334–168th2015Fox27–288–147th2016Fox29–208–167th2017Fox32–2814–135thNISC RegionalKristie Fox:134–137 (.494)34–56 (.378)Peejay Brun (Sun Belt Conference) (2018–present)2018Brun30–2814–123rdNISC Runner-Up2019Brun36–2717–103rdNISC Champions2020Brun12–132–14th2021Brun17–349–147th2022Brun22–2712–155thPeejay Brun:117–129(.476)54–52 (.509)Total:1,442–1,278–9 (.530) National champion Postseason invitational champion Conference regular season champion Conference regular season and conference tournament champion Division regular season champion Division regular season and conference tournament champion Conference tournament championSee also[edit]References[edit]External links[edit] (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});after-content-x4"},{"@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
@id":"https://wiki.edu.vn/en/wiki24/#breadcrumbitem
Enzyklopädie"}},{"@type":"ListItem
@id":"https://wiki.edu.vn/en/wiki24/ut-arlington-mavericks-softball-wikipedia/#breadcrumbitem
UT Arlington Mavericks softball – Wikipedia"}}]}]
