In 1979, it achieved its greatest success by winning the European Cup beating BSE Budapest in the final by 97-62. As of 2021, this remains the highest scoring in a European Cup / Euroleague final. Red Star was the first of only two teams from Yugoslavia to win the competition.[3]Red Star again reached the European Cup final in 1981, losing this time to Daugava Riga. The following years were less successful, and the team had to wait until 1990 to return to the competition, marking its seventh appearance in the semi-finals.During the Yugoslav Wars, Red Star was disqualified from the 1992–93 European Champions Cup in accordance with the UNSC Resolution 757. The team returned to European competition in 1996 through the second tier Ronchetti Cup. It has since appeared in the Ronchetti Cup and its successor the Eurocup in 1997, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2022 and 2023, with modest results.Crvena zvezda has had several denominations through the years due to its sponsorship:Crvena zvezda Belim: 1993–1994Crvena zvezda Kombank: 2019–2021Crvena zvezda mts: 2021–presentSupporters[edit]Honours[edit]Total titles: 48HonoursNo.YearsLeague – 33Yugoslav League (1946–1992)Winners251946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1963, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1989, 1992Serbia and Montenegro League (1992–2006)Winners31992–93, 1995–96, 2003–04Serbian League (2006–present)Winners52016–17, 2017–18, 2018–19, 2020–21, 2021–22Cups – 14Yugoslav Cup (1971–1992)Winners61973, 1974, 1976, 1979, 1981, 1992Serbia and Montenegro Cup (1996–2006)Winners41994, 1995, 2003, 2004Milan Ciga Vasojević Cup (2006–present)Winners42016, 2017, 2019, 2022European – 1EuroLeague WomenWinners11978–79Other international achievements[edit]Players[edit]Current roster[edit] Crvena zvezda rosterPlayersCoachesPos.No.Nat.NameHt.AgeSG1Naumčev, Nevena (C)1.72 m (5 ft 8 in) 23 – (1999-07-10)10 July 1999SG2Hall, Chelsie1.70 m (5 ft 7 in) 24 – (1999-01-12)12 January 1999PG6Čorto, Tamara1.75 m (5 ft 9 in) 20 – (2002-05-07)7 May 2002PF7Milanović, Ana1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) 18 – (2005-01-13)13 January 2005SF8Bogićević, Snežana1.77 m (5 ft 10 in) 26 – (1997-02-20)20 February 1997PF9Zečević, Dunja1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) 18 – (2004-06-05)5 June 2004PG10Katanić, Aleksandra1.72 m (5 ft 8 in) 25 – (1997-05-18)18 May 1997SG13Nedeljkov, Nadežda1.71 m (5 ft 7 in) 22 – (2001-04-06)6 April 2001C14Jevtović, Jovana1.92 m (6 ft 4 in) 17 – (2005-09-04)4 September 2005C15Bojović, Milica1.87 m (6 ft 2 in) 25 – (1998-01-30)30 January 1998SF18Mišeljić, Milina1.83 m (6 ft 0 in) 25 – (1998-03-18)18 March 1998F19Jakovina, Tina1.82 m (6 ft 0 in) 30 – (1992-08-11)11 August 1992PG22Čolić, Snežana1.78 m (5 ft 10 in) 30 – (1992-04-10)10 April 1992Head coachAssistant coach(es)Physiotherapist(s) Luka JojićTeam managerLegend(C) Team captain Injured Updated: October 3, 2022Honored numbers[edit]Coaches[edit]Notable players[edit]Note: Flags indicate national team eligibility at FIBA-sanctioned events.
