I Can See Your Voice Indonesia is an Indonesian television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme of the same name. Since its premiere on 29 August 2016,[1][2] it has aired five seasons on MNCTV.

Gameplay[edit]

Format[edit]

Presented with a group of six “mystery singers” identified only by their occupation, a guest artist must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of three rounds. At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.[3]

The Indonesian version has two different formats:

Under the original format, the guest artist can eliminate one or two mystery singers after each round. The game concludes with the last mystery singer standing that depends on outcome of a duet performance with a guest artist.
Under the battle format (adopted from Giọng ải giọng ai), both opponents can eliminate one singer each in the first two rounds, and then both can choose one singer each to join the final performance in the third round. At the end of the game, the conditions for mystery singers chosen by opposing guest artists depending on the outcome of a final performance, if:
  1. One guest artist has chosen a “good singer” and the other one has chosen a “bad singer”; or
  2. Both two guest artists have chosen a “good singer” or a “bad singer”.

Rewards[edit]

If the singer is good, he/she will feature on a privilege video; if the singer is bad, he/she wins Rp 17,500,000 until the fourth season, and then Rp 10,000,000 since the fifth season.

Rounds[edit]

Each episode presents the guest artist with six people whose identities and singing voices are kept concealed until they are eliminated to perform on the “stage of truth” or remain in the end to perform the final duet.

The guest artist is given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance.[a][b][c][d][e] Afterward, a muted video of each mystery singer that reveals only 0.3 seconds of their singing voice is played as an additional hint.[a]

Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers mime to a recording of their own performance, while bad singers mime to a recording by someone else.[a][b][c][d]

The mystery singer lip syncs to the good singer’s recording, then a bad singer’s recording comes in the middle of the performance.[e]

A proof of each mystery singer’s singing ability (i.e. photo, video, certificates, etc.) is shown on the screen. Good singers have own evidences, while bad singers had their evidences fabricated.[a][b][c][d]

Three random panelists are wearing headphones to listen to a recording of assigned mystery singer that lasts for 30 seconds. Afterward, the panelist defends the mystery singer and convince the guest artist to choose them as the winner.[c]

The guest artist is presented with video from a recording session by one of the mystery singers, but pitch-shifted to obscure their actual vocals.[e]
