It took place in Venice, Italy. Winners of the Golden Lions Awards (Grand Prizes) included British painter Bridget Riley, French sculptor Nicolas Sch\u00f6ffer, German etcher Horst Janssen, and Italian sculptors Gianni Colombo and Pino Pascali.
