Precipitation is significant throughout the year, and is heavier in summer, especially the months of June and July. The average annual temperature in Kirishima is 15.4\u00a0\u00b0C (59.7\u00a0\u00b0F). The average annual rainfall is 2,830.7\u00a0mm (111.44\u00a0in) with June as the wettest month.
