Es begann den Wettbewerb als Konferenz der Canadian Junior Football League, von der es sich schlie\u00dflich zur\u00fcckzog.  Nach dem Austritt aus der CJFL hat die QJFL Teams aus der Region Ottawa, Ontario, aufgenommen und die heutige Liga gegr\u00fcndet.  In der einen oder anderen Form kann die QJFL ihre Wurzeln bis ins Jahr 1908 zur\u00fcckverfolgen. J\u00e4hrlich vergibt die Liga den regul\u00e4ren Saisonmeistern die Cyril T. White Trophy und den Playoff-Champions den Joe Pistilli Cup, der fr\u00fcher als Manson Cup bekannt war.
