The price is for “exemplary performance” [first] In the categories building in the existing existence (both listed and new) and new construction as well as garden and space design, other categories such as special categories can be raised from the outset or specified in the evaluation procedure, and dignifications and recognition can also be pronounced. Recognitions are pronounced in the usual categories, in principle they correspond to a second place, which was sometimes only decided after a difficult to decide head-to-head race. Special prices, special recognitions and worthwhile are usually pronounced for submissions whose quality criteria do not fit into the usual categories and which are therefore not comparable to the other submissions.

The winner is the client of a certain object, which is not named here in the list, not the associated building.

In addition to a doping and a certificate, a badge is awarded, which can be attached to the winner’s property. For this protected signum, which “shows the award of the building to the outside”, it says: “‘Dely flows and room -forming troughs result in the large -scale plastic of the Lößnitz hill chain …'” described Karl Kröner 1954 ‘Shape and Effect’ Lößnitz landscape. The ‘uneventful romance’, the ‘cautious melancholy’ as a trait of this landscape, the graphic artist Matthias Kratzschmer took up in his design and implemented sensually moved. ” [2]

In addition, the audience, which can examine all submitted proposals in an exhibition one to two weeks before the award ceremony, can be examined in the specified categories Audience forgive.

The city of Radebeul issued a statute for the award of the client prize. The jury is then equal with six members from the city council and the city administration as well as six members from the non -profit Association for Monument Preservation and New Building Radebeul occupied. Against this background, the award of the price to buildings, whose client is the city of Radebeul itself, was critically reflected in 2009. [3] The association’s chairman and the 1st mayor (Mayor of Building) are set as jury members. The aim is “promoting the preservation of the special character of the city of Radebeul, in particular [also] the preservation of the loess neat architecture, understood as a unity of architecture and landscape,” as the statutes of the association specifies. [4] The “peculiarity” of the “architecture of the Lößnitzorte” is described in the present monument topography. [5]

The building owner award was awarded annually from 1997 to 2011, each in November. Since the declaration of the urban planning Moritz-Ziller Prize for Urban Design of the City of Radebeul 2010, [6] The which is usually to be awarded every three years is also converted to a larger distance in order to decouple both prices. It was therefore suspended for 2012 and 2014.

In the second report on the building culture of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Construction and Urban Development in 2005, the building owner award of the city of Radebeul was listed as a best practice. [7]

Some builders’ award ceremonies were upgraded by the participation of Saxon prominence, such as 2002 (Minister of State Horst Rasch), 2003 (state conservator Rosemarie Pohlack), 2004 (Minister of State for Science and Art Matthias Rößler), 2006 (Minister of State of Inner Albrecht Buttolo), 2007 (district administrator Arndt Steinbach) and 2011 (CEO of the Sparkasse Meißen Rolf Schopploth). The Mayor of Radebeuler Bert Wendsche and various city council members also regularly support the event. Many of the laudations were also held by the long -time club chairman Thomas Gerlach.

The long-standing club and jury member, the former state conservator Heinrich Magirius, took the honorary membership in the 2010 client award ceremony Association for Monument Preservation and New Building Radebeul an.

The awardings took place in different locations, including in Wackerbarth Castle (10th anniversary), the adventure library in Radebeul Ost station, the administrative, business and residential building of Sparkasse Kötzschenbroda (today Sparkasse Radebeul-West), the Sparkasse Radebeul- Middle and the Stadtgalerie (Dreiseithof Altkötzschenbroda 21).
