Brain It is a genus of plants with flowers, deciduous and perennials of the Lamiaceae family. [ first ] It comprises 188 species described and of these, only 70 accepted. [ 2 ] ​

They are natural from Europe, Asia and Africa. But two species are also found in Australia. They have opposite leaves 5-50 cm long and ashen bluish flowers.

The genre was described by Carlos Linneo and published in Species of plants 2: 561. 1753. [ 3 ] The type species is: AJUGA REPANTS L.
