before-content-x4

The Special procedure ( English Special Procedures ) are mechanisms of the UN Human Rights Council. For this purpose, individuals or groups become special rapporteurs (see list of UN special rapporteurs), working groups (English: working groups ) or independent experts (English: independent experts ) appointed. Depending on the mandate, a distinction is made between geographical (country -specific) and thematic special procedures. The work of the special rapporteurs also includes missions on site and public reports on the human rights situation in the individual states or regions.
