Andrea Ridolfi is an Italian musician, composer and conductor.

Films, TV series and TV movies[edit]

Between 2022 and 2023 he composed the music of the RAI TV series in 6 episodes “Flowers on the Inferno” (Fiori sopra l’inferno), directed by Carlo Carlei and based on the homonymous novel by Ilaria Tuti.

In this story the Police Commissioner Teresa Battaglia, is played on screen by Elena Sofia Ricci. For the performance of the music he conducted the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema and recorded at the prestigious Forum Studios with the benefit of the virtuoso first violinist Prisca Amori.

“Flowers on the Inferno” has been presented by the producer Verdiana Bixio at the “Los Angeles-Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest” in March 2023 where it has been very well attended. The event promotes Italian excellence and is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and is organized with the participation of the Italian Consulate General, the Foreign Trade Institute and the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles.
Between 2021 and 2022 he composed the music of the 1st and 2nd seasons of “Mina Settembre”, a RAI TV series set in Naples directed by Tiziana Aristarco, starring Serena Rossi and based on the novels by the writer Maurizio de Giovanni. The use of the accordion was adopted in both seasons.
In 2021 he composed the music of the RAI TV fiction “The Fugitive” (La Fuggitiva), a crime thriller in eight episodes, directed by Carlo Carlei, whose protagonist is Vittoria Puccini.

The series was presented at the “Los Angeles-Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest”.

In 2019 he composed the soundtrack of the comedy film “Stai Sereno (Stay Calm)”, directed by Davide Dapporto, starring Billy Zane.

In 2017 he composed the music of the 1st season of “I bastardi di Pizzofalcone” a TV crime series based on the novels by Maurizio De Giovanni directed by Carlo Carlei with Carolina Crescentini, Alessandro Gassman and Massimiliano Gallo.

In 2016 he composed the soundtrack of the biographical film for TV directed by Maurizio Zaccaro “Il Sindaco Pescatore” focused on the life of Angelo Vassallo assassinated in 2010. The world music atmosphere tracks, mix pleasantly with strong Neapolitan sounds and include sung pieces as “Angelo” and “Piscatore” whose lyrics are written and interpreted by the famous Neapolitan singer-songwriter Raiz.

In 2013 he composed the soundtrack of the dramatic film “Il disordine del cuore” directed by Edoardo Margheriti, starring Milena Miconi and Paolo Fosso.
During 2013 he also composed the soundtrack of the 5th season of “Un caso di coscienza”, a legal thriller TV series in 6 episodes, directed by Luigi Perelli, starring Vittoria Belvedere and Sebastiano Somma.

In the same year, he composed the soundtrack of “La Farfalla Granata”, a TV movie directed by Paolo Poeti, inspired to the life of the footballer Gigi Meroni and based on the homonymous novel by Nando dalla Chiesa, with Alessandro Roja, Alexandra Dinu and Francesco Pannofino.

Between 2011 and 2012 he composed the soundtrack of “Il Generale Della Rovere” an historical-dramatic TV miniseries for RAI Fiction played on screen by Pierfrancesco Favino. The story, based on Indro Montanelli’s homonymous novel, is directed by Carlo Carlei. The music was performed by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in Prague and recorded by Goffredo Gibellini for Digital Records.

In the same period he composed the music, played by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra of Prague, of “Il Generale dei Briganti” a TV miniseries directed by Paolo Poeti, played on screen by Daniele Liotti and Raffaella Rea and based on the life events of Carmine Crocco, the Italian brigand among the best known and most representative of the Risorgimento era.

In 2010 he composed the soundtrack of the film “Quando si diventa grandi”, an Italian comedy written by Andrea De Rosa and Renato Solpietro and directed by Massimo Bonetti.
Between 2005 and 2008 he composed the music of the detective fiction “La squadra”, a long-running and successful TV series broadcast by RAI 3.

In 1999 he composed the music of the short film “Quattro scatti per l’Europa” directed by Ivan Carlei, starring Massimo Wertmüller and Carlo Croccolo.

In 1996 he composed the music of the spaghetti-western short film “B.B.K., Baby Bounty Killer” directed by Alessandro Valori with Pierfrancesco Favino.

In 1989 he composed the soundtrack of the comedy film “Dio ce ne scampi e liberi” directed by Sibilla Damiani.

During the same year, he composed the soundtrack of one of the first ecological inspiration productions “Alien degli abissi”, a fantasy-horror film directed by Antonio Margheriti (pseudonym of Anthony M. Dawson).

In 1989 he composed the music of “Marco and Laura dieci anni fa” a TV miniseries, directed by Carlo Tuzii with Christian Vadim and Mapi Galan.

In 1989 he composed the music for the theatrical play “Parole e Crociate” by Massimo Russo.

In 1986 he composed the music for the play “E se dovesse capitare a te?”, a theatrical comedy by Massimo Russo which tells the story of a young couple in crisis, a brilliant story that oscillates between musical and nonsense
